I actually have a couple Lowells in my quarter change box. At least I did until my daughter took all my quarters.

 

My last one ( 2 of 2 ) walgeen had a roll of 2019-P America Memorial Park quarters . They let me look through them and that's where I found it ..

 

Still need 1 more Lowell for my set. Have 20x American Memorials right now haha

 

I've been farming, started budding on the 8th of this month .

I found my only one today.

 

found 2 Lowell W's out of 4 rolls of philly mint AMP quarters.

 

They can turn up in circulated boxes and rolls, I've found 2 that way so far, other than that, best shot at finding them is in BU boxes of American Memorial Park quarters or newer. They were not ready for distribution in the Lowell boxes. Lowell W got released with AMP, and AMP W got released with AMP.

I'm searching 2 boxes a week since April 1st and was lucky for the first two designs. Been about a month now of either BU boxes of Lowell without Ws of course, or circulated quarters and havent even seen a War in the Pacific quarter yet. Slow and steady wins the race, good thing I'm not in it for the early bird ebay sales. Lol

Oh man. I've had that happen to me multiple times during this hunt for "W"s. The bane of my existence have been Picture Rocks and Voyagers. I've probably had 6 boxes of those 2 since I started looking for West Point quarters.

 

I've had no luck whatsoever. I've only just managed to find 2 denver minted AMP quarters, nevermind W mints or War in the Pacific.

 

Mines been this design and boxes of Lowell of course before the started distributing the Ws. I must have gotten 6 boxes like that also. I did really well when I started this though found two boxes of American Mem. Park in April and got about 50 AMP Ws from those but it's been a dry spell since, a lowell or memorial w here or there from circulated boxes or rolls. It's such a grind when I know there's not even an error to look for.taken me days to go through 20 rolls. I'll probably just rip off the wrappers and return the rest today. Since the new design is coming out by the 26th. I missed the boat on GUAM completely. Only seen 2 ps in circulated rolls so I don't think they ever got to my area yet.

I won't give up though that's for sure and at least I have the extras for trading later if one or two never get here so there's that. I'm just holding out because people ask crazy things for the newest design. I'm not trading 3 or 4+ Amp for 1 Guam lol! When Texas comes out they will be selling for $5 or $10 raw just like the others do.

Bide my time and just stay the course. Either I'll have them all by this time next year or the prices will stabilize for all of the designs and people will trade 1 for 1. Everyone want's to get rich now a days... good luck to all on your hunts.

 

Got on the "West Point Wagon". Not sure yet if I'll play in the last issue. I did pick up 10 MWR on recent vacation to Outer Banks (thought maybe some fresh deposits to the area with Hurricane restorations, but prob overthinking it again). The first 2 rolls had 2 Ws each amongst new Philly AMP with an older quarter or two mixed in. Learned a lot on this forum. Good people and great info. These coins have got to be hoarded. Think about the 2009 Jefferson had a mintage of 138 million. I found one in 5 years! Thoughts? Should these Ws get graded? At least maybe the best ones? Throwing a lot out there. Love the hobby let's get the next generation off their cells and video games and into coin collecting. Great way to learn history too. Happy hunting to all!
