My lowest mintage US coin is 1907 proof V-nickel. It is the lowest of the series mintage at 1,475 pieces.
You wouldn't be rich because of the coin. You would have had to be rich to buy the coin in the first place!

I posted a collage of my top 9 lowest mintage on my Instagram recently, so here they are. As others have said, it’s worth noting that low mintage doesn’t necessarily mean it is rare. The 1836 Reeded Edge 50 Cent coin has a reported mintage of only 1500+. However, availability indicates more than that were actually minted. Approx. 3000-5000. 1862 Dollar - mintage 11540 1870-CC Seated Dollar - mintage 11758

PCGS has estimated survival counts, but I'm not sure I believe all of these. 1942-D 2/1 Mercury Dime - 3,000 1942/1 Mercury Dime - 3,500 1918-D 8/7 Buffalo Nickel - 7,000 1937-D 3-Leg Buffalo Nickel - 10,000 1922 No D Lincoln Cent, Strong Reverse - 15,000 Also have the 1983 Double Die Reverse Lincoln Cent and the 1982 No P Roosevelt Dime, strong strike, but PCGS doesn't venture estimated survivals on these.
