Hello, all, I am, again, attempting to identify a coin. I bought a coin similar to the images that follow but have been unable to figure anything else about it. In fact, the only photographs that I could find online of the coin are those that I have attached. It looks German by the looks of the eagle, but the shield makes me feel as though it is more likely Hungarian, even though the shield does not match any Hungarian shield I have seen. Thank you in advance for any help you all can offer!
Looks similar to this 15th century denaro from Sicily. That might not be an exact match. Looks pretty close, though. Here's another.
Sir Coin Collector, I think Lord Marcovan hit a double with his two Sicilian coins. Attached below are photos of a Sicilian AR Pierreale in my collection with the same components as the bronze coin you have. Sicily - Messina, AD 1296 - 1337, Fredereck III.
Lordmarcovan, I think you are correct. That does look like a match. Thank you for your help. Mine belonged to one of the Alfonso's that was king of the kingdom of Sicily. I will have to do a little more research to find out which one!
