Believe it or not that is supposed to be Vespasian. When I saw this become available I jumped at the chance to own it. It is now mine. I just loved the unusual portrait. At first I thought this was an elusive coin struck at Tarraco but David tells me it is RIC 29 a very common coin. Common though the coin may be I find this portrait extraordinary. How about putting it like this - a common coin with an uncommon portrait! I do like the early style portraits that depict Vespasian with a full head of hair. Congrats on the the new addition!
