No..i didn't miss that..i got that.. and understood.

I think he missed what I meant. I wanted him to understand where I was coming from and what My word usage was ;)
Edit: I am a Fine Art Major..this image is cheap looking IMHO.. maybe the more universally understood word I should have used was "Classy"..this image is lackluster to say the least

Be very careful in this thread!! Political comments especially involving current politicians, no matter which affiliation will cause you grief and possible departure. There are many other forums for political , religious. or world event opinions, Not Here!
    Thanks Jim

But there are others that have risked, and they’re equally as deserving, and where does it end? I say stick with the Founding Fathers. Lincoln is one of sorts as he saved the republic as it was falling apart.

And in that spirit, let’s never forget the wise words of Franklin, as he was exiting the Constitutional Convention, and was asked what kind of government they were giving us. “A republic,” he said, “if you can keep it.”

So let's see - Alexander Hamilton and Ben Franklin - when did they become President? Ironically, Andrew Jackson hated currency and tried his best to abolish it and he's on the $20 bill? Just wondering.

So you want to make a political billboard out of our currency?

Yes, how dare they? There's certainly nothing political about Jackson, or Lincoln, or Grant, or...

But there’s more to those men than just that, isn’t there? Or perhaps you’re not familiar enough to know. And no, Jeff, France didn’t win the Civil War.

Tell you what, let’s make a $3 bill. You can stick your whole political party on that.

Again , Peter has his alternate site http://www.partisanlines.com/ for these heating discussions. Keep it up and it might be your only alternative. So if you value your political, religious , and world event postings more than coins and such, that is the place, but check it out and see . Peter established that site just so this site could stay away from such discussions and we are not afraid to use it.

Sounds to me like no discussion of planned (or torpedoed) changes to the $20 bill has any future here.

Aw Jeff, I just edited one posting, but this isn't my first rodeo coming up and I do remember how hot headed some individuals become during election years and they usually drag other members along with them. Best if they go to Partisanlines and get acquainted with them, I am a member there also, but I am not a moderator there :) Jim

sorry you misunderstood, let me rephrase it...

"sorry but i believe that if they put a portrait on a NEW 20 dollar bill then it should be a past president, i would not use these..."

Andrew Jackson’s portrait has been used on a number of U.S. Bank Notes in a variety of denominations.

Why not computers , phones, and video games???Maybe the younger would start holding on to their money longer. Sooner or later it will all stop as plastic money can be easier tracked, and the supercomputers can figure your taxes........

From the political link that will probably be deleted.
"suggested that Tubman be bumped to the $2 bill, which is no longer printed."
Has the $2 bill ceased production? I was unaware of that.

Nope. Most recent printing was this past November. (More are on order for the current fiscal year, so there may have been another printing since then, but the BEP is four months behind on posting production reports. )
