I subscribe to acsearch and pay the 85 euros a year to get the prices. They informed me my subscription was about to expire in a few days. Payment with PayPal was to be plus 6.5%, but I didn't recognize the "SEPA Bank Transfer" option as permitting the use of TransferWise, so I paid with PayPal ($105.65). Then I wrote them and recommended they allow TransferWise. They said they already did ("SEPA Bank Transfer") and refunded my PayPal payment which I then paid with TransferWise ($96.94). I saved $8.71 by using TransferWise instead of PayPal. If you make payments in currencies other than your own, PayPal has large fees. TransferWise doesn't. I recommend it. If you PM me your e-mail address, I will send you an invitation that makes it easy for you to sign up.
Some of my Canadian customers use Transferwise, and it is indeed much cheaper than Paypal when it comes to currency conversions.
Since I put @Valentinian onto Transferwise in the first place, I think it's fair for me to scoop him and post this link to sign up: https://transferwise.com/u/thomasr434 Full disclosure: if you sign up through either me or Valentinian we get a bit of a bonus.
My invite link: transferwise.com/u/warrene10 I guess you don't need to PM me. That will take you there, just like Severus Alexander's will take you to his. Thanks!
Xoom is another one I have used, It is owned by paypal, and is only supposed to be for transferring to individuals, but sometimes the rate can be even better than transfer-wise plus... "Invite friends to use Xoom. If their first transfer is $50 or more (transaction fee excluded), you'll both get a $10 Amazon eGift card." Refferal Link
