2019 d satin finish cents in circulation.

Discussion in 'US Coins Forum' started by Kevin the coin hunter, Jun 14, 2019.

  1. Well coin hunting has certainly been one of my finest hobbies.3 days ago i received my coins back from ANACS and 2 pennies were graded ms68 satin finish red cents. One of the cents had a beautiful gas bubble on the obverse...what a treasure...when reading up on satin finish coins , they are reserved for mint sets only and thinking about that further , maybe that was some of the coins being released to the numismatic public as a mistake? I know that the mint was releasing coins to persuade collecting into population but they did not specify..so folks, be on the lookout..to identify a satin finish coin is to look for a burnished grainy appearance..its pretty hard to find and i admit it.

Smiley Modern coins you can get inspected and graded by anacs for 15$ each minimum of 5 submitted. your large date 1960 is nice, but its less expensive to purchase one already graded. anacs.com explains everything related to submissions.

@Smiley LI please be informed before you send your coin off for grading, I would not suggest getting it graded, you can still buy them new/untouched, the whole sets P and D with franklin. cheap. The reason I was calling bs with Kevin, Is a 2019 d cent is worth 1 penny. why did he send in an ms 68 and brag about it. lol oh well.
