1969 20 dollar bill Real or fake?

    IMG_0373.JPG IMG_0374.JPG There's no water mark on this so I don't know how to tell if it's fake. Not even sure if they used water marks back then. If this is real it's the oldest bill I ever found ha

    Watermarks go back to Series 1996; the polymer strip embedded in the paper goes back to Series 1990. Older than that, just look for the raised intaglio printing and the tiny red/blue fibers in the paper.

    Old style and looks OK to me.

    Dont see any smoking gun there, i would say ok as well, as long as the paper
    feels right :)

    Hello i have a question?maybe someone can enlighten me.ok i have a few old 20's 1969 series however they where sitting in sandwich bag an also in a jar with no air for a long time in any event the back have turned a copper color, any thoughts?

    Sounds like the paper had issues with the plasticizers used in the sandwich bags.
