Here is Parthian Drachm I recently picked up.

Bought as Vologases III, @Bob L. has mentioned to me recent research indicates it is Pacorus I. CNG and others label this type as either figure.

Very nice. I only know the name from History of Rome but I do like the style of the portrait.

Does any one know what is wrong on the tetra in front of bust? How did this happen? is this normal?

I encounter this coin in Parthia.com introduced as fake. However the style surface etc look perfectly legit to me. I am curious to why it was condemned? I like to learn if I am not seeing something that a Parthian expert collector would notice? Please let me know

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

Oh man, I don't know. It says it is a struck fake using "electro-erosion copied dies", I'm not sure what that means. I have a feeling it would be pretty difficult to detect this as a fake. Even the flan looks right. I assume it is silver also? That's a tough one.

Anyway, that's a cool new coin @Mat ! I don't have a coin of Vologases III, but I have a couple from V man the 4th, here is a drachm.
