So Meow is not sure about the currency grading system. Is it like 1-70 like coins? If so, a 69 for this is waaaay over graded. Meow can see multiple creases on the bill.
Correct, the grading scale for paper money is like Sheldon's coin grading scale (1-70). As far as I can see, there doesn't appear to be any creases in the photo. If the note and grading are legit then there's no reason to think there are any creases since a grade of 69 would be far from a grade with any signs of creases or folds. It would have to be a wrong label (intended for other note) or something like that for the grade to be that far off.
Sorry, I meant a sheet that was bought and then cut by a customer. Easy to make every other note with monster margins, and spend the others.
My guess is he/she meant hand cut. Good of you to ask though to have them clarify if that is what they meant. EDIT: Ok they replied with confirmation right before I posted this.
But Meow sees a big creased scuff that goes relatively up and down, on the bottom right side of the portrait.
That looks like a reflection off the sleeve to me but who knows. If indeed that's on the note then the grading company totally blew it on this one. I could see if it was 62 or 63 and they miss something so obvious but 69 makes it highly unlikely. I'm nearly certain though that it's a reflection since the reverse photo also exhibits the same streak and it looks like light reflecting off the sleeve.
I saw those also, and at first I thought it was some kind of bleached out streak, by the sun maybe, but not a crease. But on the reverse one, it's on his shoe at first, then it moves to the right. That's when I knew they were just glares on the sleeve. That's the trouble with photos taken through flips or sleeves, they always add something to the pic.
Artificially large margins accomplished by cutting the note from a BEP issued sheet. Not a big fan of these. As others have mentioned, the lighting and photography do not compliment the note. I prefer scans.
Well as long as the margins are equal, you can get away with the 69PPQ Grade ! but for me personally i wouldnt put that in my collection and The premium does not support the note, i guess if you wanted something ODD ball it would be a keeper..LOL
