Here are some of the "Kings in the north" Postumus Marius Victorinus Tetricus I Tetricus II I'm sure Canadians must be elated. Pretty sure Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could use the good news right about now. I think I have a photo of him... Justin Trudeau Clearly us Americans need to build a temple to Justin Trudeau, because our God, George Washington, let us down tonight. Still, even you Canadians must admit he does look good shirtless...
Careful now, or we'll invade Canada again... Leave it to Canada to gift us a comedy genius, John Candy, who then made a comedy movie about a bunch of crazy Americans invading Canada. On second thoughts, considering our track record, maybe that's not so crazy after all. Though last time we tried it Washington burned to the ground.
@Sallent our statues are not as impressive.. but here was the man voted the greatest Canadian in our history.. voted by the people (in 2010). Tommy Douglas, the politician who created free medical care for all...enacted for the whole country no matter your salary - everyone gets the same care - with no money changing hands - in 1966. Since then we have all been in this together. https://www.canadashistory.ca/explore/politics-law/history-idol-tommy-douglas
Let's not forget Basketball was invented by a Canadian =) We were due to win SOMETHING.. Canadian sports teams have been getting skunked in the major professional leagues for 25+ years.. It will be good for the game and its always great to see the whole country get behind a team like this.
Canadians invented basketball? Next thing you know we'll be finding out Canadians invented Canadian bacon. I think it's time the president considers pressing the nuclear button. This world no longer makes sense. Just kidding, obviously. Congratulations again to our brothers and sisters in the north. We love you guys. I'm happy for you. Tonight was a fantastic day for your country, and I'm proud of what the Raptors accomplished. God bless Canada.
I have no clue what all that sports stuff is about, nor what it has to do with Postumus, but hey, I can post a Postumus coin. And a Canuck coin, for good measure. Canada: silver dollar of George V, 1935; "Voyageur" type PCGS MS64; population 768 with 933 higher as of 5/20/2019.
I can't believe I forgot my other Postumus. I don't post it often, so this is the perfect opportunity to show her off again...
I wonder what odds the sports books in Vegas will give for Toronto "two-peating" in 2020? Congrats to the Warriors for making the last five years so exciting. Get well soon, Kevin, Klay and Kevon! Chris
Caesar's Sportsbook has already announced odds for winning the NBA in 2020. The Warriors are 14-5 favorites and Toronto is 10-1. Chris
Time to get the 1kg Royal Canadian Mint dino coin? And a king much further north (Sihtric of Ireland):
