Thank you too @flyers10 for surprising me with two morgans! They are awesome!!! Very beautiful. I just love Morgans lol they both are beautiful. And the 1909 VDB wheat cent!! Look at how nice it is! Thank you again words can't explain how happy I am! Lol
Not sure if it would go Red or RB. Has some toning. Not sure if a cleaning at one time but sure looks UNC. Wondering what other peoples opinion is by looking at the pictures.
Whoa!!! Those are spectacular, Shrews! What a fine gift..... I say we nominate Shrews as the CT rock star!
Thank you @Randy Abercrombie that is a great nick name! Lol I would not be the rock star as you say if it wasn't for y'all!!!
Beautiful Morgans @Shrews1994 . Normally I could care less about modern coins, but Morgans really get my heart pumping. It really is an impressive coin. Almost gives ancient Greek tetradrachms a run for the money.
The 09' VDB looks like it could go RD but the toning in the right field would most likely put it into RB. That's a pretty well struck Lincoln. Nice!
Real nice coins, But they almost look minted yesterday Never seen a 1900 MORGAN in that condition, no toning ,scratches etc..
Nothing wrong with a modern coin such as a Morgan looking great. 110+ years isn't really such a long time. Heck, you can find 1800+ year old coins that look fantastic..... So why can't a modern coin like a Morgan Dollar look fantastic too? And unlike the coin above which definitely was cleaned at some point, I don't see why a young coin that's only a century old couldn't have naturally remained bright. Granted, some toning would be the norm, but I can imagine certain circumstances where a new coin such as a Morgan Dollar could remain bright over the last 100 years.
Hi Beautiful coins! You deserve them!! That was very kind and sweet of @flyers10 to send them out to you! I have never owned a Morgan but they sure are perty! Congrats!
