Who was the seller? It’s not Greattoning. Kinda looks like John-Strategies photos but he doesn’t usually have coins with this high price tag.

If nobody posts a new coin by tomorrow afternoon, I will post one then.

Enhancing photos in order to match the look of the photo to the actual appearance of the coin is fine. This is juicing, plain and simple.

John-Strategies has a few high priced ones, including a Battle Creek that is likely very nice, but still juiced and not worth the $4,500 price tag. This was yankeecoin. He has quite a few toners in all price ranges. I've seen some people on the forums have written about positive experiences buying from him. He has outbid me on some items and usually prices them at 2x-3x markups. Quite a few resell with his photos. He does offer returns, so that must help (but I haven't seen that many of his sold items relisted).

That's very, very strong money even then IIRC.

 

Ummm, it’s 2x price guide. In my world, that barely even qualifies as a premium. And back then, generic MS67 Rosies sold for $50.
