Well, working at the bank continues to yield nice finds. Here is what I have found over the last couple weeks. I usually let them collect in one of the chambers of my drawer (where I won't accidentally give them out) and then I buy them when I have a nice amount. Here is my latest find: $1 Silver Certificates Series 1935A Serial: J30887684C Series 1935A Serial: J30887685C Series 1935A Serial: J30887695C Series 1935A Serial: J30887696C Series 1935A Serial: J30887698C $1 Star FRNs Series 1995 San Francisco L03415152* Series 2001 Chicago G03284732* (Probably best find in this group) Series 2003 Boston A02444064* Series 2003 Chicago G02659314* Series 2003 Chicago G0700658* Series 2003A New York B06787051* Series 2003A Atlanta F14318339* Series 2003A Kansas City J02594588* $2 US Notes Series 1928D C65811360A Series 1298D D19969088A Series 1953 A14585921A I don't think I did to bad for $19 Here is a photo, sorry for the bad quality. If you want to see a specific note, let me know.
You must work at the banks I visit because I have never received anything like this even when I ask for packs of singles
Well, the silver certs were all brought in by one person...the same is true for the $2 bills. So, those were just lucky that someone deposited them in my window. The star notes were from some searching. When I count $1 bills in deposits, I always look at the serial number looking for stars as I count. If I see one, I set it aside. So, I always check all the $1s I get.
RichieB... we need to hook up on some NY notes///LOL Let me know if ya find any gems....looking for early notes 1928 stars... RickieB
Awesome finds I have always wondered how many people that work in banks actually know what might slip through their hands each day. I suspect it is very few. good luck with future finds
RichieB16 .. if you ever find you err.. have too many look me up kidding aside ... you are so lucky to work at the bank like that. those finds may not make yuou a millionaire.. but it sure is fun to find em!!!
Oh, I agree. I love looking for them. Its fun, and I get to work on my collection for face value. I have gotten quite a few doubles (and triples) so far too...I might throw some of those on the open board and see if anyone has anything they want to trade. Oh, and I don't know if anyone noticed this...but that 2001 Chicago star note is from a run of 640,000!
