    I do not know much about ancients but found this article here that shows an ancient roman gold coin and the details are just amazing!

    Alleticus was the Roman Governor of Britain. He was known for trying to separate it from Rome at one point even. The coin was minted in preparation for his separation but was demonetized after his death in 293 AD. That is what the article says in short anyhow, it also says that there are only 24 such coins in existence right now!
