My parents just brought over this "medal" and I was wondering if anyone has any info on it. I think it's just an ordinary medal and not a commemorative piece but not completely sure. The obverse reads "Ohio State Fair and Industrial Exposition" around the rim and is dated 1901. It also reads "Awarded to A.E. Helmer for Best Display of Cheese". The reverse reads "State Bomayard of Agriculture; Organized 1846". If anyone has any idea what this is I would greatly appreciate any comments. You may have to hit the history books for this one. thanks

For lack of a better word it is a medal honoring what it says.
