How perfect is perfect? We need to see nice hi-rez photos of the front and back, to be able to give an opinion.

The prez on the nickel would be Jefferson. Photos are needed as previously stated.

  5. Is it Andrew Johnson or Lyndon Banes Johnson? All coins from the Dallas mint are very rare!

It's a Jefferson nickel. But show pictures of it. Then we can tell you what it's worth..

I believe it was intended as a parody on the mistaken identification of the president by the OP.

I'm a simple man. I just want to know what a Johnson nickel is.

Quoting from the Natural Light beer commercial,
"But you don't have to call me Johnson."

2,630,000 were minted. What makes yours so special?

Actually over 280 million 1962-D nickels were minted. 280,195,720
If it has full steps (not likely) and is in MS condition (cough, cough)
    then it is very special.
Johnson's middle name was Baines. It was his mother's maiden name.

If MS-65, it will need to be graded.

I might have wrongfully named the president but a picture says it all.

Sorry to say that is worth a nickel. No where near full steps, and shows signs of circulation. There are also a couple of rim bumps. Not a D mint, it was minted in Philadelphia. Nicer than most 1962's you will find in circulation though and would be a nice one to save for a date set.

I agree, a Dallas Johnson nickel would be a very rare coin, please get it graded asap. NGC or PCGS.

The steps are not full. Which need to be clearly defined and uninterrupted.
I'm also not sure of the grade of your coin. I doubt it is mint state. But that could be the photo.
