Ok, So I was just given a Bunch of European coins from my neighbor. They were given to hid dad (My neighbor is a grown adult... dont worry) when teh guy lost a bet to him.. But instead of just handing over raw coins.. He glued them to paper and framed them. So they have since been pulled off the paper, and out of the frame. And now have glue and paper attached the the obverse of the coins.. Is there a way to take all teh paper and glue off the coins with out wrecking them? Should I just try warm water?

Distilled water and pure acetone from a home center or paint store, not acetone-based nail polish remover!

It would be a lot easier if you told us what glue was used.

distilled water has all the impurities, containments, and trace metals removed

    All good advice above.
Why don't you post a before and then an after picture?

thanks, will do. My camera is on vacation right now..
speaking of vacation... My mom got her purse stolen in hawaii. Lucky enough they got the visa cancelled shortly after the thief used it for 1 dollar in a corner store.. I imagine he was testing it to see if it worked...

You can try socking them in distilled water first. If that fails move to acetone.

Look out for copper, brass and bronze coins. Acetone can turn them funny colors.
