HI All, Can anyone suggest an attractive way to store non slabbed gold eagles in all sizes. At a coin shop today, the owner suggested I could buy the plastic four coin strips (the black and clear plastic, I've no idea what they're called). I was wondering about a display book, the dealer said they didn't have one specific to gold eagles but you could buy the proper size and use it. Any ideas? Also, couldn't resist with all the talk of silver eagles here I bought a tube of 20 2005s. Chris
The black and clear ones are called by the name brand--Capitol Plastic...I would go with them since the coins are gold...you don't need the 4 coin strips..you can buy a holder with one hole and they look nice...the one thing is that they are around $4/each...from what I have seen..they are worth every red cent. Speedy
I use the Air-Tite albums. I get my albums from these folks: http://www.airtiteholders.com/ because of the variety of album cards they sell (get their catalog!), and I get my Air-Tites from these folks: http://www.air-tites.com/ because I like their prices and service.
AIR-TITES have protected my coins for years and years and NOT one has toned in an air tite. As a matter of fact, starting today I am returning ALL my Morgan dollars to air tites as they are starting to tone in the album!
I'm using the Intercept shield 2x2 holders (they cost $1 a piece), storing them in a Intercept Shield box for 2x2's. No problems whatsoever. http://www.brent-krueger.com/icshield.html
