Looking through a Mint Roll of 2004 D Keel Boat Jeff's I found 5 with identical die scratch from the eyebrow to the last T in trust. One is below. They are all 5 the same. 2004 D 1 of 5 with same die scratch OBV.jpg

    Or die crack?

Perhaps. There are 5 of them identical. I am not very good at figuring which they are. Do you think die crack is more likely?

Looks raised to me, but then again, so would a die scratch.......out of my element to make an definitive assessment, but others will do so..........

I agree with that, they are raised. Thanks for the help.

A scratch would be raised with rather uniform depth/height and edges. A crack with show the rough edges left by the crack.

IMO, too linear to be a die crack.
    I'm agreeing with die scratch.

I'm inclined to believe it's a die scratch.

The scratch seems to be only in the field. Is it possible that the die was scratched before the hub impression was made?
