I completely agree, I feel that if you pay for the image, it's also a selling point for the coin and should be included under the cert verification page.

Maybe send in a suggestion? It might take some time for them to apply it, but it never hurts.

I might, but probably after I get this order back. I've probably called them 6 times in the past 2 months for various reasons (including twice for NCS suggestions they had for me) and I dont want them to get aggravated with me anymore. If I bother them too much they will probably body bag all my coins lol

Here are the grades. I was disappointed with the 3 cent, as I saw no signs of being whizzed and the coin is beautiful and also disappointed with the 1882s Morgan. The Morgan is a ms65 all day long and is almost PL on both sides, it's a fantastic coin. The 1944 peso should have went ms67, it's almost flawless and I personally think the 1838 jeton should have gotten ms64. I was also disappointed that nothing got a * since some of these pieces have stunning toning. But all in all I'm happy. I was thrilled with the 1840 8 reale, it's probably my favorite piece of the group. Writing it down was the best way to show all of the submissions at once.

Some of the ancients are a bit of a waste to grade, especially that Miletos obol. Super common coin, probably $90 at auction on a regular day. I paid $65 for mine (of a slightly different variation to yours), which is not as sharp as yours. Would have probably paid a little less if I had gotten it at auction instead of a dealer.

I would honestly say yours is gVF. There's too much wear on the lion's main for it to be a true XF. NGC is good, but in my experience they tend to slightly over grade ancients.

My obol is beautiful in hand and extremely sharp. It looks like some luster remains on parts of it, I expected it to get AU on grading. I just like the look of the other 2 ancients. I loved the horse on the back of the Danube celts tetradrachm which is why I bought it. I had asked ngc to holder it with the horse up, but apparently they forgot, even though I asked twice. The denarius I had graded for sentimental reasons.

I understand, I'm not saying they aren't nice coins. They are, and I would be glad to have any of them in my collection. I'm just giving you my opinion about having them slabbed, and I still think the obol is gVF, which is almost XF... but just shy of it. Either way, they are still lovely coins anyone would be proud to own.

Wow! I hope you send over some pics of them fresh in their new slabs once you get them!

I've had very inconsistent experiences with them for the * as well. They seem to be very inconsistent at best with it for the original grades. I've had more than one coin that I got back from them that had to be resubmitted for designation review before getting a star or PL. This has been especially true for world coins.

This. I've had many world coins that I get back from submission without a designation, then immediately resubmit it for designation review and it comes back with the designation. Makes me wonder what I paid for in the first submission if they didnt bother checking for designations.

Now I request they check for particular designations when I submit the coins the first time, and I call customer service and make sure they put a note on there for the graders. I've had a lot more success this way.

It does seem like they're either forgetting about that part of the grade or expecting someone else to add it. It'll never happen but it would be nice if the review fee was waived if you resubmitted within the first like 30/60/90 days of getting a submission back and the designation was added in the resubmission.

Great grades honestly. I had a submission of thai coins come back over 50% details grade! LOL. I looked at the pictures, lovely grades!

I think those results look pretty good. On a submission that size, I would expect a few disappointments, just from the law of averages. In these cases, one just hopes that the "better" and/or more expensive ones are the ones that meet or exceed expectations, and that you "take your lumps" on the cheaper ones.

I have a 12-coin World submission at PCGS, waiting for the grades to drop any day now. I expect to take some lumps. Hopefully it won't be on the coins in Lines 1-5, though one of them is from a buried hoard and the other is a shipwreck salvaged (beach) piece, so there is a chance they might not straight-grade. Hopefully PCGS will at least put the provenance on the labels. I sent them what documentation I had for that.
