Looks UNC to me, but the color is off, the type guys will be on this one in the morning... WELCOME to the forum !!
New Pics Added>>> opinions? it has flow lines and very little wear so it appears to be a weak strike but very little in the way of wear. i was thinking at least MS....
under my 30x loop it very strongly appears to be original surfaces. definitely not cleaned. i would highly doubt a dipping either being that the flow lines are totally intact and it's from an estate of coins that have been untouched since the 1960's being sold by the widow...
Given the new pics, I would definitely say that the coin has been dipped at the very least. Dipping does not remove flow lines, but it can will remove luster if dipped improperly. And based on the pics provided, this coin has little if any luster. That said, I would say that the coin has AU 53 details, but because of the over-dipping that it would net grade to XF45.
The coin appears to be AU or better, but I don't think the color looks original. And rarely is a loupe needed to make such a determination. Lastly, the fact that the coin might have been off the market since the 60's says nothing about what might have been done to it in the 150 plus years before that time.
