    @Julius Germanicus: are you saying that the two together are the most expensive or each separately?

    Some drool-worthy coins in this thread!

    I briefly considered bidding on the Allectus aureus being auctioned now (or soon) by Dix Noonan. Seeing that its discovery made international news it's likely that it's a sound investment. And there's the fact that chances of getting a shot at another of that caliber are slim to zilch. However... when cooler heads are allowed to think about it rationally you come to the realization that with that kind of money you can buy a house!

    Maybe someday if I win the lotto :-D

    Thanks. That is exactly what I tried to achieve because the main reason I bought them ist to be part of a much bigger picture: a complete and matching portrait gallery :).
