I just received this rainbow toned 1964 Jefferson Nickel. Please vote in the attached poll as to whether you believe the coin is Artificially Toned/Questionably Toned or Naturally Toned/Market Acceptable.

I don't see any 'juice' and I think the coin is completely acceptable for the collecting community'.

I think its MA as I have bought several PCGS/NGC coins with a very similar toning. Because of the "hits" the best I would grade it is MS63.

I'll go with 65. The color looks right to me.

I’ll guess 66. Lovely coin, I bet it looks really nice in hand.

Looks MA and in the 64-65 range.

I have the grade at MS64. The obverse toning looks fine but the pattern and color scheme on the reverse is reminiscent of an Appalachian and a little more questionable given this isn’t a war nickel. I still think it is MA, but it’s close.

Reverse is a little funky, but still looks OK. Looks like a nice 64.

The camera isn't the only tool to get coins to pop proper lighting and background are the next.

    I use
A piece of black satin for my background but am limited on my lighting. Florence and a single 100w lamp..
I'm working on getting something else for my work station but do not know what to get yet.
    Thanks for the advice.:shame:
