Hi does anyone know what coin this is, I have heard previously that it could be King Edward the 4th but if it is, is it 1st or 2nd reign?

Try posting a picture or re-posting it if you tried. Never mind pictures suddenly appeared.

I would like to help, but I think you need to see more of the obverse.

Edward IV was an interesting king who had a lot of potential. He was an expert military man who never lost a battle. He had the knack of avoiding battles when the odds were not in his favor. He was a real lady killer who was said to be drop dead gorgious. He was six - three with light brown hair. As you might have guessed he had many mistresses and lots of illegitimate children.

He got fat in his late 30s and died in his early 40s. If he had lived longer, he might have become a great king.

Here is an Edward VI groat or four pence.

And here was one of his new contributions to the British monetary system, the gold angel. Inflation had rendered the gold noble obsolete. This coin had the previous value, 6S 8d, of the noble. That made the merchants happy.
