Heritage Auction of the Morris Collection

I’ve known “Morris” for 30 years. This is his estate being sold. The attorneys requested that his name not be used so it’s not my place to post his name. He was a collector who lived in NY and was a regular buyer from everyone. He collected for 50 years and never sold a coin to my knowledge.

Concerning Heritage, they don’t send everything to NGC, so trying to figure out negative reasons why a coin isn’t slabbed is pointless. They most likely didn’t think it was worth enough to holder or they didn’t have time to get the coins submitted and returned before the auction deadline.

The name of "Morris" has been published by CNG now. To my knowledge he was born in 1941 and may still be alive.
