Hey guys. A guy Ive done business with on other collectables has these 2 Morgans, a 78 and an 82, Im thinking of buying. Bosth GSA w original boxes. Hes saying theyre MS64. Now I know that without TPG its often a best educated guess on a grade, but Im trying to bargain and would like some other opinions. Im thinking 62/63 tops. I think the 82 looks a little better in hand but thats hard to translate. Anyway, what would yall think for grade and price?
    Thanks for lookin!!!!

I tend to agree with you. Neither one is an MS64.

The 1878 looks better struck, with better luster, and fewer marks (MS-63). I would give the 1882 a MS-62.

Yeah... The 82 appears mighty "baggy".

    I’d say 62 or 63 at best.

I'm in the 62-63 camp as well.

I am in the 61-62 camp. Very baggy, with nice luster. Certainly not higher than 62, given that the hits are in prominent places. The ‘82 is marginally better than the ‘78, but not a full grade different.
