Thank you. She is repainting all of her yard ornaments. They have been out in the weather for many years. I collect coins and my wife collects flowers, yard decorations and stuff.

At least you each do something you love. You get to sit and look at her beautiful flowers while enjoying your coins. :)

I noticed that the dog was a statue but my first thought was that dog sure took a long nap for that to happen. :)

It's a good thing that dog is a statue. What a wonderful sight to behold. Glad you were keeping your eye on it. :)

I can't get too close as it gets very nervous and I don't know how long it needs to stay there with the cocoon. I assume it is getting its initial nourishment before it leaves.

That and his wings must dry in order for him to fly.

There are other butterflies that feed on milkweed.
I have 2 types of milkweed in my yard.
It should dry fairly quickly and fly off.

He flew off early afternoon. Thanks to everyone for all the feedback.

He did get treated well. We wouldn't even let the dogs out front until he was gone.

Our milkweed just got buds on it. Spring is later in PA than TX. I haven't seen any as I can't get outdoors too much right now thanks to my kidneys and the back pain they are causing but my says she's seen 2. We're getting closer though. :)

I sure hope you get better very soon.

When I was in First Grade I was in the hospital for three months with kidney problems. Back in the 50's they kept you in the hospital until you were absolutely cured. The teachers came to my room everyday and made sure I kept up with my class in school.

Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Healing but still under a doctor's care. Thank you. I spent 3 days in the hospital in 2nd grade. I had my tonsils out. 57 years later they still haven't grown back. LOL
