    Hello
I work for a bank and today when I opened a brand new roll of the new dollar coins there was one in there that was totally blank.
    Is this worth anything?
    Thanks Rhonda:hammer:

    Rhonda -
Definitely hang on to it. There were a couple of articles in some recent numismatic papers about a few of these being found. I don't have the papers handy, so I cannot quote you specifics. The individuals that found these "blank" dollars had them sent in to a third party grading company for verification.

I am sure later on that more people will respond that are more knowledgeable than me on this issue.

:hail:Thank you so much for responding. I really appreciate it.
I can see vague writing on the edge but it is not completely
    finished. Very strange.

If you're looking to sell this error coin, to be able to reach the full potential as far as value goes would be to send the coin to a TPG (Third Party Grader) for certification. If you're looking for fast money you could post it for sale here in the open forum when you reach 10 posts or Ebay is another option. Take the coin to a local reputable coin dealer for an appraisal. I dont know where you live so I cant recommend one for you in your area. I cant even begin to give you a value estimate on this error coin because errors are not my area. If you could possibly post a few clear pics when you have time it would really help. Good Luck!!

When I get a picture and want to post it on here what did you mean by 10 post?
I called a dealer here and they said sell it on Ebay acted like it was nothing.
We just moved and have not gotten internet hooked up yet and at work we are not allowed to put anything on here like nor can we download any pictures that I could put on here. I live in Kansas City, MO.

Over on the left hand side of your post underneath your join date it says "posts". When that number reaches 10 you can post numismatic (coin) items or currency for sale. If you can, do a google search of "blank presidential dollars" and read the info it provides. There are many pieces of info to choose from. Sounds to me like that dealer doesnt fully understand what you have there or he's just not interested or knowledgable with errors. The only dealer I could find is called American Rare Coin (816)-942-7900. Is this the dealer that you called? If it is, find another dealer or an upcoming coin show in your area and take the coin along and ask questions. There is a coin show in your area on Sunday April 6th at the Sheraton Hotel Sports Complex. Its only a 42 table show but the way I see it, several opinions is better than one. You may even get offers for the coin at the show, but dont take the first one. Shop around and take the highest offer if you really want to sell. I've provided a link below for the show if you'd like to attend. I'd recommend it if you're interested in selling it.

You're welcome Rhonda but be careful, Many people are unexpectedly bitten by the coin bug during their first coin show visit....lol. Have fun and ask lots of questions.

Not sure if you are there but I have a question.
How in the world will they know this is a real dollar coin.
The rim is there and on the outside you can vaguely see
a partial letter or two but that is it?:hammer:
