Here is the reverse of my 2019-W Proof Cent. Here is a close-up. Has anyone else received one from the U.S. Mint? I have been told this may be the only one.
Looks like a nice struck thru for a proof coin. The first photo looks like an indentation, but the second photo looks like it's raised, and something is still on the coin....Is that 'stuff' there, or is it just the photo and lighting? It's probably the first 19-W Proof Cent with a struck thru reported, but there could easily be more, depending on what the material was, and if it were on the die, it could have struck a dozen or two coins before falling off the die. (if it wasn't on the planchet itself, which I doubt) .....just my initial thoughts
This is the discovery coin as reported in Coin World. It is an indentation. There is no imbedded material.
