Just wondering what everyone is doing for their collections regarding these new silver content quarters. Are you waiting for a new page to be issued for your albums, if this happens or are you using gold foil to identify them? Or maybe just inserting a note in your albums so your heirs know these are worth more than the .900 quarters. Just a bit of curiosity.
I buy them as part of the annual silver proof set and just leave them in the govt packaging. I hadn't considered the .999 trading at a premium to the .900 until now.
Don't you have to by them in proof sets. Just put them in folder and label. Pure silver. Or wait a year and buy a new album. Don't think new albums will say anything but Silver. I do see your point
They CAN be struck in .999 fine silver. Doesn't mean all will be. Since all silver coins issued by the Mint is NCLT, I think it was a smart move (for a change).
I really have my doubts that the album makers will go to the expense of issuing new albums do to the cost and the unknow factor of weather or not this is a one year thing. Possibly new pages to update but still the unknown factor. I have extra gold foil so I'll do mine this way and it's probably cheaper than a new page. I would hate to have to see anyone spoil the looks of their albums by putting paper stickers under each coin.
I'm confused - don't the albums already say "2019-S Silver Proof" or something like that? Are you saying you want to add the ".999" qualifier to the label?
