Delamination or PMD?

I’m unsure if this is delamination or PMD. What do you think? The metal does not appear to be raised at any point, but I also don’t see solid indicators of improper alloy mixture. @paddyman98 @JCro57 @furryfrog02

Possible struck thru

 

Nice find. certainly does not look like pmd to me. looks like the M is intact?

 

Good point. I couldn’t come up with a good idea on what it could’ve been struck thru, as grease doesn’t fit. Also, there is a slight difference in color within the cavity and out of it.

@Autoturf the M is intact, but missing a small layer.

and the rim on the left is .. odd ... flatten down to the field whilst the building there is well defined.

 

I agree with @Fred Weinberg for what it is worth. Looks like it was struck through another small piece of metal or something.

 

A smaller splinter of metal would be soft enough not to totally mess up the M yet under the pressure to create the void.
