I've had this penny for a while and never really looked at it under magnification.I have weighed the coin and it weighs 3.1 grams. I noticed the coin did not appear to have any mint mark but what am I inspection under the right magnification what I thought was a small couch in the bottom right of the coin, actually turned out to be a mint mark which appears to be a d also where it should be also looks like there was a D. But had been shaved down. Agreed, not a mintmark. Just a normal beat up Philadelphia cent.

I'm more interested in trying to find the couch that the OP saw.

    There's no D.
The mint marks are very prominent even when circulated.
They can get hit and moved slightly. Yours is a Philly coin
