Imho, I see three strikes. First strike was weak ( you can see under Jefferson’s head a weak strike) then a solid good strike followed by a 50% off strike resulting in a broad struck. How would it get into another separate chamber?
I see 2 strikes, 1 struck out of collar, a second strike was broadstruck and a major die clash. I would say that was damage caused by the harsh environment it was exposed to at the time. Send it my way and I will see that it gets a "safe" burial.
The double struck placement is so superb. Great purchase, Joe. Beautiful error coin. Plus the B/S and die clash. Wonder how TPG can squeeze all these into a few lines on the label.
