Every so often, I stop at local banks and ask for old-style bills. Usually all I get are 1985s and later, but today I stopped at an unusual bank, ad I found a 1934 $50! If it wasn't for that ink stain...:headbang:
I've found 1934X series $20's and $100's, but I think 1969 is the earliest I've found for $50's. I don't know why people choose the $100 over the $50, but apparently they do. I prefer the $50's because it's much easier for me to check the color of the security thread in them. Awesome catch OP
