I don't know if anyone bought one of these beauties so I thought I would just put it out there for discussion. I wanted to buy the dime, I missed the sale so I bought the gold Standing Liberty Quarter, it's a beauty and I'm really happy with it! I'm thinking about getting the Walking Liberty Half Dollar but I really don't think I'll be able to, financially speaking. Anyone want one? Already have one? Just want one, but that will come later? Too expensive for the gold content? Anyone?
Gawd yes..... I have always been a standing liberty quarter lover. I just think it is a drop dead gorgeous design. Last year I had the itch and purchased the gold version. The beauty of the piece is well suited to gold. I still love it.
Although I primarily collect foreign coins, I've always been partial to the Standing Liberty Quarter design, and I'd highly recommend it if you are in the market for any of the 2016 centennial coins.
I liked the coins, but the unnecessary addition of "24 kt Gold" turned it into a bullion piece more than a coin. This made them equivalent to AGEs for me.
