I hope it's full step. Can't tell from the images.
    Good luck.

Tough to say if it is a good deal or not, but I suspect the "not" is more likely, I'm afraid.

On the bright side, the seller has a good return policy. Just decide quickly, or you get hit with a 20% restocking charge.

Good luck & please keep us informed...Mike

How good a buy is it if it turns out to be AU-58?
    NNC's reputation is poor.
    Good luck.

I think it's a pretty decent buy, but you honestly never know what the pics may be hiding. But, it could turn out to be a very nice coin. Let us know how it turns out. :thumb:

someone did "buy it now". I would have asked him to email me some better pics before spending that kind of $

I have been watching the 38 and 39 Jeffersons for a few years now. They seem to be really taking off in price over the past few months. Im working on finishing up a a full MS 63 or higher set and im only missing a few that I passed up so many times in the past, saying to myself I will find one cheaper. LOL YEAH RIGHT.. I watched a ms65 1938 D FULLSTEPS sell on ebay for 300 bucks. lol I think because it was in a PCGS slab. Just seems nutty to me, paying that much when I know you can still get them for 50 bucks.

Like most of the other series, the keys are going crazy - even in Jefferson land. I know that tons and tons of these have been hoarded by the flippers. They're not releasing them. Just watch an e-bay auction for any condition of 50-D or 38 d/s or 39 d/s.

Figure that even per the Red Book, greatly overpriced listing, if that coin is MS-63 or higher it would be in the $75 to $100 range. As you should you have to add in the $6 postage/handling fees so you probably paid just a little on the high side. Contrary to that I've seen at coin shows lately the early Jefferson Nickels are really going up in prices. I don't like that coin but have several completed sets, not in MS, but if I knew some time ago that some people like them enough to start paying so much I think I'd have saved a lot more of the higher grades.
