Its great to be able to poost where some amazing people are. Just wanted to say thanks for having this place for us nutty collectors. The more I post here, the more I love it here. Just wanted to say thanks.
If you're a girl, I'm looking for someone to poost with. But I must warn you, to poost with a toad, you have to be an experienced pooster or you may not survive the poosting. Ribbit :smile
you trying to sale one of those 1912 matte proofs, or just showing off. If you are showing off please post photos, I'd love for you to make me jeolous because I'd love to have one.
LOL, Im a dude. Pervs. I have 3 mpl's right now. A 1909 , a 1912(the one in my sig), and a 1913. Heres some pics...( I have them going out to a great guy tomorrow for imaging so I will be updating them) & the one in my sig. Not spamming here, but I am thinking of selling them.
I would think about a reholder and a tru-view.......why pic a scratched holder yannow? NICE coins !!!
wow, the coins look great, but I don't know about any action tonight I have a headache. I agree with Jack, reholder the 13 it make better pics.
I know. I hate the scratches but the 09 & 13 are in OGH's and way undergraded. Im sending them off for a regrade. Is there anythin, cheap, to polish them.
The 09 is a 63RB OGH, the 12 is a 64BR, and the 13 is a 65RB OGH. In hand they are all conservatively graded. When I get the better pics youll see what I mean. Simply amazing coins. Not bragging but they are.
There is a thing called Slab-Renu" but, I have found that the polish from any auto parts store used to polish plastic headlamp lenses works great at 1/2 the price. My new 24-D is all shined up now and lookin SWEET !!!!
I have heard of slab renu but heard it was like $15-20. I only have afew slabbed coins so I dont think I would need that. I have plenty of car polish though. Are there any chemicals that can damage the coin?
No way, after I cracked it out, I used a pencil eraser and some of that car polish, the coin is a shiny as most of my other pennies that are new, dont look like nuthin got hurt that I can see !!
baja, The green "Turtle Wax" works pretty good on holders! However, if there are deep scratches, then nothing but re-holdering can fix the problem. Do not get Acetone or other similar chemicals on the holders as they can damage the holder and possible the coin inside! Likewse, do not use any kind of liquid cleaner on the holders unless you are very careful to not get any around the seams. Frank
Thanks everyone. The marks are not that deep when viewed through my microscope but there are alot of them.
