    Hi,

Did any other forum members participate in auction 348 on May 8 - 9th? If so, have you been invoiced yet?

I bid in the auction via SixBid. I received an e-mail confirming my bid from service@sixbid.com. I do not find a record of receiving one from coinhirsch@t-online.de (the e-mail from GHR). I have received a couple of pdf's with winning hammer prices from GHR. My bid matched the hammer price, but I have not received an invoice.

I have not received an invoice, or had a response to email queries, which is unusual...

At this point I assume I was an underbidder due to a later pre-bid. OR, they did not take my bid due to SixBid issues. I would check in case I was the exception...

    Best Regards,

    Gene

PS - @greekandromancoins - I plagerized your post on Numismatica Ars Auction 114.

PSS - I can probably live without this coin, but it has an interesting set of die markers that are similar to a coin I have shown here before.

Well, I would be very wary because of the Sixbid hacking. Why don't you phone the auction house? I'm sure they speak English well enough.

The invoice arrived today. They said e-mails sent were bouncing back. I do not know why this one did not. I will be glad to put the two coins pictured above side by side. You can see the scales are different.
Top coin above is a hand held scale that could have been used for coins or bullion. The reverse is a modius which was used to measure volumes, like grain. You can see a hand held scale below. I was weighing cut coins. When I added too much weight, the figure 8 holder bent.

The bottom coin has a fixed scale was used for larger weight items. An example is in the middle of the top line from a Roman bakery scene.

Till I feel comfortable with the Six Bid hacking issue
I would bid thru NumisBids. As a matter of fact I rarely
use SixBid any more. More auctions are listed on
NumisBids. If I don't receive an invoice within a day
or two of seeing the Results posted I'm sending an
e-mail. That's just me and my brand of OCD.

By the way, of Roscius Fabatus I have this nice Eravisci imitation.
