I Have this AE4, 15.5mm., 2.27gm with a legend that appears to read "?COU???INVS????. Before I pick at any of the 'crud', does anyone have any clues as to what I am looking at, please?
The U is just a poorly-shaped N, with a sloping diagonal line that is more attached to one of the vertical sides of the N.

Obv: CONSTANTIVS IVN NOB C, Laureate, Cuirassed bust (R), Rev: GLORIA EXERCITVS, Two soldiers facing, one standard between them, PLG in ex. Lugdunum mint. it could (possibly) be (per 'Wildwinds') Lyons, Bicester 269 - However, with further cleaning it is more likely to be - RIC VII Lyons 276, or 281, or 286. Agreed?

This coin was in worse condition, after alot of cleaning this is what I got. My Father purchased this in Turkey from a boy selling bags of coins that he had found back in 1969. That is how I started collecting Ancient coins, Greek, Judean, Roman and Byzantine.
