I know it is against coin rules....... But try dropping one to hear if you hear a ting of silver, then try washing it off, the dirt around the rim ( which on an original coin will not come off) should come off if fake. I bought a Chinese fake awhile back on eBay....... It was not pretty.
Here’s something that should always be on your mind these days when you get “bargain offers” like this. How many people sell thousands of dollars worth of coins for pennies on the dollar? If your answer is anything but, “virtually nobody,” you are much too naive. It’s like the guy who got mad at me at a local club meeting who show me a “1796 dollar” he had bought on the Internet for $200. “How many people are selling $8,000 coins for $200?” He was angry at me instead of himself or the crook who sold it to him.
those chinese websites were littered with this junk a while back. And boy do I mean "littered". You had at least 50 vendors selling various looking level of countrefeits dollars etc. .. and look .. they're back ...
why would someone sell coins inexpensive, rare coins, if just one is fake, you wont get a dime from me. don't do business with a liar.

There is also the drop test mentioned for the familiar ring of silver coinage. Simple tests. A little more complicated, the book comparison of the diagnostic die characteristics for that date. Much of this information is online. Ask the dealer what the metal content is and proof. I'm only a collector and have the equipment to check the metal content. To me, all appear to be counterfeit or fake whichever term you prefer to use. Buy the book before you buy the coin or in this case coins.
