Somebody offered me a great price on all these they look authentic to me but I just want to see what others have to say. Is there anything that shows that any of them may be fake?
Some of them look suspicious to me. Angle and group shots are not the way to get opinions on authenticity.
What are the denominations of the lot? Not seeing any reverse shots........I'd 'shy' off.........some look peculiar to me. If they're half dollars, I'd run...........
Have you waved a magnet over them yet? One or two, I'd look at them carefully. A whole pile like that, at "a great price" -- yeah, that doesn't happen. Tell us, was the "great price" lower than 5 figures?
There was an auction on Invaluable auctions and some of the dates are the same as what they auctioned . Those were all Chinese knock offs. I would be very careful , and probably have someone close to you that knows his coins to have a real close look at them. Maybe a dealer or coin shop in your area would help you out . Those look exactly as the knock offs in that auction. I agree with @green18 Run and Run fast. Dillan
Offer an extra hundred to get them certified at your LCS first. If he can figure out a reason to say no, def fake.
I agree, but just seeing this hoard in front of me would have my head spinning. Would definitely need someone else's eyes and a cool head.
I used to spend quite a lot of time on eBay looking for bargains -- often, batches of disadvantaged coins that had one or two treasures hidden inside. I had some pretty good successes. You know what I never encountered? A lot containing a bunch of counterfeit rarities, with one or two real rarities mixed in. This seller is looking for a sucker. Don't be that sucker.
While I can't tell on most of them, based on those photos, I do see a few obvious fakes in there. I would bet that all of the Seated and Bust dollars are fake. Beware.
