I am always happy to have a little piece of Greek art for a good price. Even though it is out of my 'normal' collection area for Greek coins, it is a nice addition with a cool gorgoneion. Size: 11mm; 0.69g And along the way I got this interesting coin as well, both the obverse as the reverse attracted me. I like that the sphinx is quite 'complete'. Troas, Gergis. AE coin (Circa 400-241 B.C.) Obverse: Laureate head of the sibyl Herophile facing slightly right. Reverse: ΓEP, Sphinx seated right. Reference: SNG Cop 338; SNG von Aulock 1515. Tiny Greek coins are the best. I love them and I can't get enough of them. All these coins are sub-13mm. Most are well under 10mm.
