clembo have you considered painting skyscrapers? and i dont mean doing it yourself i mean bidding on contracts

 

Well, we did put a bid on putting vinyl siding on the Sears Tower but it fell through.

I did construction in my teens. Not that CHEAP vinyl siding, but STEEL siding!!!! (I'll never forget the sales pitch). Also did garage slabs, basements, sidewalks and driveways. Then I went to college.

I'd like to THINK I could pour a slab of cement if I broke it up into parts. Probably not.....

Looks like you have the best of both worlds - grade a Lincoln in the morning and finish a living room in the afternoon.

Not everyone can say that.

I think that opportunity presents itself in strange ways at times. The opportunity to do something you love comes only ever so often. Without risk, comes little reward!
I think you will be fine and do a great job! Things will get back to normal before you know it. Perhaps this may take you on a journey farther than you may think! If only I had it to do all over again....

On another forum a guy from California got one for 65 cents that was in better condition than mine... I paid 60 bucks

 

I have heard that but never understood it. Wonder why?

 

I guess the variety collectors should be grateful to them!

 

Just so turns out that I actually do have a Canadian Nickel collection. Really my only non U.S. stuff. Why? because I got them cheap! I do like the variety as well but getting the first "book" for face helped pique my interest.

 

I talked to the owner of the shop today. Short and sweet.

I have a good painting gig tomorrow but should be off on Saturday. He needs help on Saturday. Will iron out tomorrow but looks like I'll be workin' at the shop this weekend!

That sounds great clembo!! Many of us would love to have an opportunity like that, I know that I would. Congrats!! It would be great if the part time coin shop job turns into full time and you someday get the chance to travel the country doing the coin show circuit.
