I have found a 1974 Lincoln Penny. There is an open bible in front of Lincoln. I am assuming an altered coin. Has anyone else seen one of these?

Yes. It is a counterstamp Cent. Considered a novelty item. It was applied after it left the Mint.

Does it look like this? Probably the Masonic Bible

I found three today with items added, but the one I ask about was just an open Bible. Not stamped like the one above. It was pretty well put on, and quite a while ago. It came in a bunch of old coins from a closed bar. I would have to have been found in the 70's or 80's. I'll post a picture later.
