Do i have a chance at chasing the new $14k record for a 1963-D in MS67?

I've been storing OBW Rolls for decades. Every year, every mint from the 60's and more. In some cases i have 5 boxes per year and mint. It took me three days to go through two boxes (100 rolls) if 63-D. Here is what i ended up with. I have a picture of what the new record coin looks like and i bunch of pictures of what my life has been like for the last few days.

This took a while, here is my work station:

The coins in the 2x2's are DDOs.

Here is what i was looking got ya'll opinion on - this is a few samples from the coins above. Is there any chance these could grade MS67 or Ms67+ ???

It's hard for me to compare your images to the NGC image without having both in hand.

Your images get blurry when I enlarge them but I can still see a few dark spots and some bag marks. That alone will keep your coin from grading that high. The NGC coin you are showing looks much better than yours.

are you taking into consideration that there are 25 better samples? I just grabbed one at random. I had noticed that spot.

I looked at all of them but I'm looking at photos. I have you my opinion based on what I'm seeing.

That's cool. That's what i was asking for...

It would be be wired if someone just had the highest grade for 63 D and had been sitting on it for years. I am not giving u though. getting organized and i'll pick my top coins and take new pics, maybe by tomorrow.
    thanks.

The NGC pronged slab has only been in use for a little more than 10 years, and it was just a couple of years ago that NGC changed to the "left-balanced" description, so it had to be slabbed sometime within that period.

@Conder101 could probably narrow down the dates for this slab more accurately.

Clear well lit photos could help. Best to take from a short distance and crop to a close up. We do our best to help.

    You're welcome.

i dont think the PCGS census is updated. that one wasn't $14,500.

Then why did you confuse the issue by posting the image of an NGC coin? Sorry, @Conder101 ! Your expertise is probably not needed.

I didnt realize the census wasnt updated. I'm pulling the most recent auction records now. I was premature to post this whole thread. I should have kept the error pics out of it and shown the 2 or 3 best coins i have and that's it. I has just spent 24 hours in one spot staring into a loupe and a watching a USB microscrope. I was anxious for some feedback. after a good night of rest i know what i need to do to get this thread focused. That's my bad.

I'll put up the new Top Pop coin and narrow my selections down to a handful and take better pictures. It's daytime now, so i'll also be able to use some better lighting. And i surely wouldnt not have posted the most most blemished coin (with that little black circle) and asked ppl to try to compare that to the 67.

I think i just needed some human interaction after that roll hunt marathon.

    Thank you and apologies.

Just post some clear and well focused photos.
With out those it is anybody's guess. Plus I would read up and research the 63D so that you know what it is you are comparing your coin to. A 67 or better should be a well struck example with blazing luster. Photos are a difficult way to tell one coin from the other, research and looking at a lot of coins in different grades is a better tell of what you might have. Do your research before spending the money.

I contacted two experts explaining that i'd like there opinion on a few coins once i get down to only the best of the lot.

As i mentioned earlier here is the current Top Pop 63-D:
    NEW Top Pop 63 D MS67 14k from GC.JPG
    NEW Top Pop 63 D MS67 14k from GC Coin Only.JPG

So i'll be back when i have more info an better pics of my selections. I still have a box to go through, i'm dreading it but if i don't see a strong competitor) of what i posted yesterday of my own coins. I'll try the next box.

Anyway, more to come. Thanks for your replies all.

I might have to hire a professional photographer! I only have my phone. But i would get better photos from PCGS or even if i sent them to GC they would handle the grading and photos for less than if i sent them direct to PCGS. Anyway, that being said - i'm going to post only 2 coins (4 photos) for your consideration.

Here are 2 coins. This is the best resolution i was able to get even on manual on my phone.
Regardless, 2 leanings... (and that's why i come to you guys) 1, I'd like to learn how to take better pics 2, my Reverses, especially relate to the stairs don't compare w regard to detail. I do have some coins with excellent detail on the reverse. I just need to find a corresponding obverse with clean fields. Back to work. Let me know what you think. I don't there is no way to grade these online. I wouldn't mind your opinion.. So long as its an MS66 or higher :)

    Coin 1 Obverse:
    5.17.19 Coin 1 Obv.jpg

    Coin 1 Rev:

    Coin 2 Obv:

    Coin 2 Rev:

I had better get back to work if i'm going to find something w a stronger reverse.

thanks all - you have been very helpful and likely saved me a lot of $$$.

Have you guys noticed that the True View pics Blow Away that pics from the auction? The auction photos made me think "I have some of that quality"

I don't believe a 67 actually exists...Not even the PCGS example looks 67 in my eye...Another exaggerated piece for a registry set.

Here’s a similar coin to what I see in your photos. Note the weakness in the steps compared to the TrueView.

I don’t think either of us are at that level.
