Lol, sounds crazy eh? While roll searching today, I came a across a 2000 D Lincoln cent that is nothing but yellow with no traces of copper color. I have never come across something like this in my days and was wondering if anybody here had any info on it. Ill attempt to take some pictures later if there is a demand for them.

    Thanks.

I've come across two or three that are "Yellow", brighter than brass almost...

That sounds about right Thender. I wonder what causes this discoloration..

Sounds like toning, or it could be plating. Could also be a mint error. Pics will probably help clear all that up though. ;) :D

Apparently my camera is terrible at taking pictures of coins so I guess posting pictures is not going to happen, still trying to find a picture of something like this online..

Two things come to mind: an off-metal or a brass plated coin. However, I don't think the Mint produces coins for other nations any longer so an off-metal coin is slim, but since the early in the 80's brass plated coins have been produced every now and then when the copper "dipping sauce" becomes contaminated by zinc coins remaining in the bottom and changing the composition of the plating sauce. The only coins I've viewed seem to take on a greenish-gold color like the one shown in the lower right-hand corner of the image below. Does your look like it?
