Does this 1909 Wheatie look weird?

i’ve had this for a bit but just saw it again. Just looks weird to me. What do you think?

What strikes you about it? Looks normal to me.

 

The edge, the wear pattern... Just seemed off to me compared to my other ten 1909's

In case you think it might be fake, it has a mintage of 72,000,000, so I highly doubt it would be forged.

 

I didn't think it was fake. Just a bit strange looking to me so I thought I'd share.

 

Did you buy it? It is still possible that it is a fake. You could try weighing it. a normal copper penny is about 3.1 grams.

 

I probably bought it a two or three years ago if I even did buy it. Ill weigh it but my scale isn't super sensitive.

 

Why don't you send it to me, and if I live long enough, I'll send it back to you in about 25 years. Then, you can tell us if it looks different to you.

After 110 years in circulation and having no idea where this coin has been or what it's been through it looks normal to me.

 

It looks good for a century of circulation- someone must have put it aside for a prolonged time period.

 

That's how I felt about it. Just was in good shape after a century.
