I first thought this was a fake till i got it home and tested it with my pen and it seems to be real. But I don't know what i have really as i was under the impression (bleeding though) was not a real thing that happens. but you can see the entire front thought the back. what would cause this?
It looks like a wet ink transfer error. Not super valuable, but worth a few dollars. Too bad you used a pen on it.
I know right.. I thought about that after I did it. And i have another pen that is see through or clear if it's real. I should have used it... But my rule is, if it's not life changing money I'm not selling it anyways. But I'll keep it, and thank you for the info..
There's no reason to use a pen to check the authenticity of US currency. The feel of the paper, which is actually a form of linen, and the intaglio printing give it away. I ask stores that use the pens if they will take post-it notes if I can get the pens to show they are real, but they won't take me up on it.
so as i am looking at it closer. there is black and green ink transfer on the back and there is all so some of the E and the O from the back transferred on to the front. Pen on it or not, i found it so ill keep it. But its it common to get ink transfer on both sides and from different presses? as in it having green and black ink transfer?
