Found this 1965 while sorting my grandpas old bucket of change. I think it is a double die because of the second rim at the top and some shadow at the top of the letters. Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry pics are a little blurry look at the 9, and then the top of the rim... if that helps.
The '2nd rim' has nothing to do with a doubled die. What you see is a very very minor, and common, mis-aligned obv. die. And the doubling is MD - mechanical or 'ejection' doubling. Neither item is an error on the coin.
